Laxmi Nepali
21-year-old Laxmi Nepali lives in Baglung with her mother as her spouse lives abroad for foreign employment. As a farm worker in her village, daily activities kept her engaged for most of the time. However, on sunny Friday of January, when Laxmi left to collect fodder for her cattle she fell from tree and left her life with spinal cord injury.
Subash Gurung
Subash Gurung is a 21-year-old student pursuing a career on Overshare in Butwal, Rupandehi from hometown Gorkha. Subash, naturally a bright student was keen on learning and serving his community, which gave his family every reason to be proud. On 30th of December 2013 Subash sustained spinal cord injury from an unfortunate motorbike accident hitting the road divider while travelling with his friends.
Hasta Bahadur Chand
Hasta Bahadur Chand is a 49- year-old agricultural worker from Surkhet. Village life was going on well for the Chand family until Hasta sustained spinal cord injury by falling from a cliff. Following the accident, Hasta was rushed to Kathmandu for treatment in Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital, where he was diagnosed with C3, C4 cord contusion.
Likh Ram Chaudhary
41-year-old Likh Ram Chaudhary is originally from Nawalparasi but lives in Hetauda Mu-nicipility, Makawanpur with his spouse. He works as a supervisor in a Uniliver Nepal Ltd, he used to travel most of the time from Hetauda to Kathmandu. While travelling to Kathmandu by Jeep through narrow road of Kulekhani Highway Likh’s along with other passengers faced a fatal accident. Likh never thought what happened to him that day, would change his life forever.
Chandra Bahadur Kumal
35-year-old Chandra Bahadur Kumal lives in Chyangli VDC of Gorkha district with his wife and two daughters. As a driver in one of the agency at Kathmandu, he used to keep himself active most of the time. On a Feb-ruary night, when the entire family were waiting far a dinner, the Kumal family faced such an accident, which left them trauma-tized for months.
Manoj Dong
Manoj Dong is 42 years old agri-cultural worker from Ramechhap. Life was going on well for the Dong family until Manoj sus-tained spinal cord injury by falling from the tree.
Following the accident, Manoj was rushed to nearby Health Post from where he was referred to Ne-pal Orthopedic Hospital (NOH) for treatment.. He was diagnosed with compression fractured L2 with AIS-B.
