Manoj Rai is 22 years old a tractor driver and a farmer from Dhading. Time was going on healthy for the Rai family until Manoj sustained spinal cord injury by tractor accident. Following the accident, Manoj was rushed to Sahid Memorial Hospital for treatment.. He was diagnosed with multiple ribs fractured with D12 fractured (AIS-B).
Bishnukant Chaudhary
Bishnukant Chaudhary is a 16-year-old Higher Secondary student pursuing a career on Agricultural Science in Lahan Technical School, Rauthat. On the 3rd of June 2014, Bishnukant sustained spinal cord injury from an unfortunate compression by cemented wall. Within hours following the accident, Bishnukant was rushed to a nearby primary healthcare centre from where he was sent to Bir Hospital in Kathmandu.
Biru Dhungana
Biru Dhungana is a 31-year-old newly married man, who had a job at the Hotel Pacafic, Kathmandu. Life was going on well for the Dhungana family until Biru sustained spinal cord injury from a road traffic accident. Immediately after the accident, Biru was taken to B&B Hospital where he was diagnosed with fracture D5, D6 with AIS-A. He received surgical management for his injury, empirically through stem cell grafting.
Shova Mani
Shova Mani is 54 years old house wife and agricultural worker from Bhaktapur. Life was going on well for the Mani family until Shova sustained spinal cord injury by falling from the building. Following the accident, Shova was rushed to Madhyapur Hospital for treatment in Madhyapur Hospital, where she was diagnosed with D11 and L1 compression fracture.
Ujjwal Gurung
27-year-old Ujjwal Gurung is a MBBS student and a resident of Lainchour, Kathmandu. During his internship, Dr. Gurung sustained spinal cord injury from a motorbike accident. The mishap left his limbs paralyzed; however, his hands remained somewhat functional. Dr. Gurung was taken to TUTH for neurological consultation and was then conservatively managed and referred to SIRC for comprehensive rehabilitation.
