When Umesh was admitted to the centre on February 27th 2005, his accident had resulted in him not being able to move his extremities. He was referred to the centre from Bir Hospital, where his operation took place. Upon admission, he did not have bowel or bladder control. While at the centre, his pressure sores were healed, and when discharged on 2005/5/12 he was able to walk without aids and had bladder and bowel control. Umesh lives with his family in Kathmandu and is able to swim and attend his studies.
