Saraswoti fell from a four story building. At the time, he was highly depressed. He was given acute treatment at Kathmandu Medical College, and was then admitted to the SIRC two weeks after his operation. At first, he could not move his lower limbs and after staying here for two weeks he was sent to the Orthopaedic Hospital for operation on his right ankle.

Saraswoti stayed at the centre for five months and was given continuous physiotherapy as well as counselling from the occupational therapy department. Upon his discharge, 3/10/2004, he could walk freely and plans to open a grocery shop in his home. His depression was overcome with help from the clinical psychologist, Marriane Haganbole.
