Pawan was admitted to the centre on 8/8/2003 with a history of falling from trees. He was received twenty days after the accident, after having had surgery at the Orthopaedic Hospital. At the time, he had stitches and grade 2 pressure sores. He was unable to move his lower limbs, but did have sensation in them.

After three months of treatment at SIRC, his pressure sore was healed and he was able to sit up. Later, he was taught to use clean intermittent catherization, which was a success. After five months, he was discharged on 13/1/2004, and went home walking. He used to be a farmer, but cannot continue his work after his injury, and so plans to open a shop.
